Bulls Charge Over Bears

The unlikely Bulls defeated the number 1 ranked Bears on Wednesday night 47 to 36 in a game that was much closer than the result. For three quarters the lead changed 6 times and had the making for one of the most exciting games ever. But at the start of the 4th quarter, Kevin Nielson made an amazing three pointer with two guys in his face. The bulls never looked back dominating the quarter 15 to 7. The most shocking stat of the night was the Bulls' six blocks in the game which was only 1 short of tying the team record for most blocks in a game. Four of the blocks were against the Bears' star player, Yo Yo Dalton. Ted Gumphrey, the center, had 3 of the blocks and scored 11 points. But the MVP of the night had to go to Kip Dippleton who had 21 points, 1 block, 3 rebounds, and had no turnovers. Defensively the Bulls were great causing the Bears to commit 8 turnovers. They also held Dalton to only 9 points and held Luther to only 6 points. Saunders was the only player on the Bears who played decent with 14 points, 2 rebounds, and 1 steal.
This win was much needed by the Bulls. They have been scrutinized all season and haven't been respected by the media and other players and coaches. But this win over the Bears solidifies them as one of the elite teams in the league. By examining their stats, the Bulls are not all that impressive except for one area. By far they shoot more free throws than any other team in the league. They average about 4 more made free throws per game then the next best free throw shooting team. They are really good at drawing fouls. It is a little unorthodox but it's getting them wins. Kip Dippleton is emerging as a star in his rookie year in the league. With Wycliffe leaving the Bulls in the offseason, management was worried that they would drop to the bottom of the league. Nevertheless, their midlevel draft pick proved to be gold.
Only time will tell if this team is for real or only fools gold. But this win over the Bears is a good sign that they are legit.

New Team Colors

Some of the teams in the league have asked the commissioner to change their team colors. Other teams have asked that their dominate and secondary colors be switched on their team logos. Such proposals have been changed but not finalized. Any feedback from fans supporting or disapproving of the change is greatly appreciated. Thank you.
