CHANGES TO THE DBA SITE

Dear DBA fans,
There have been several changes to the web site over the last few week. I will explain each change in case there is any confusion.
First of all, there have been some changes to the team banners on the right side column. Beneath each banner, there is a list of the players on the team. It also includes the position they play and their scoring average so far this season. The reason I added this feature was so that every player can get more recognition individually and so fans can see how well each player is contributing to the team as far as scoring goes. It would be too tedious to include every stat for each player and update it every week, although I do that on a spread sheet from home.
Second, I have added the DBA team records and player records in the right hand side of the web site. This will allow fans to see which teams are the best or the worst at specific statistical data related to their basketball play. Although the records will be updated throughout the season, most of the records, especially team records, can't be changed until the current season is finished. This is because the records are linked to the performance of a team or player over an entire season. Records that are linked to only one game will be updated immediately as records are beaten.
Third, I wanted to get some feedback from fans to see if they still want the season schedule on the site. It is sometimes a hassle for me to update the scores of the games in several different locations. I record them in the season schedule, latest games, in the game summary comments, and in my spreadsheet at home. I was contemplating just leaving the schedule there so fans can refer to it, but discontinue updating the scores there. Let me know what you think.
Finally, let me know if you have any ideas of making the site better or if you see any errors that need to be fixed. I appreciate all the fans of the DBA and without all of you, we wouldn't be able to put on and witness such amazing basketball games.
May the dice roll your way,
Commissioner J Colby Christensen

Week 3 in season 2 is finally over after some exciting and not so exciting games. The South Division proves they are the stronger division but not by much. The South division finished with a 13-11 record while the North division finished with an 11-13 record. It would have finished even if the Dragons hadn't blown a 7 point lead midway through the 4th quarter.

Fire-- 5 6- 13 8- 32
Wolves 6 15 16 10 47

It was close after the 1st, but the wolves decided to go on a 3 point slugfest. The Wolves finished the game making 8 of 11 from behind the arc. Carter Hanks had 22 points, 5 rebounds, and 1 steal. The Wolves beat the record for the most rebounds in a game with 22 rebounds. For the Fire, Bill Wyecliff had 18 points.

Ice--- 14 11 11 9 45
Cobras 15 9- 7- 7 38

It was battle of the Point Guards as All-Star's Jerry Daines and Stephan Mills duked it out to be the only undefeated team. The Cobras started out strong making 5 of 5 three pointers in the first quarter, but the Ice stepped up the defense on the perimeter for the rest of the game. Mills finished with 21 points, 2 rebounds, 2 assists, and 1 block. Daines ended with 31 points and 5 assists. Daines made 6 three pointers which was only 1 shy of his own record.

Dragons 10 10 10 5- 35
Wasps-- 8- 11 4- 14 37

Fez Warrick hit a 3 pointer at the buzzer to give the Wasps the comeback victory. The Dragons were up by 7 points half way through the 4th when the Wasps went on an 11-2 run to close out the game. I have to admit, I was very dissappointed in the let down. I always believed that the Dragons were an above average team this year, but they aren't playing like it. Fez Warrick finished with 25 points and 2 rebounds. Charles Graham had 18 points, 4 rebounds, and 2 blocks for the Dragons.

Knights 6- 7 12 12 37
Bulls-- 15 8 15 11 49

The Knights struggled offensively in the first half and they struggled to catch up for the rest of the game. Gonzalez and Lyles had 16 and 15 points respectively for the Knights. Dippleton had 24 points and Gumphrey had 14 for the Bulls.

I like the new updates. I glanced at all of the player and team records. I like that feature.

I would like to see the schedule remain on the right side. It helps to see the big games that are coming up. I like the idea of just posting the new scores at the top instead of both.

The Ice are looking good early on. I wonder if they have the fire power to stay on top!

All is quiet on the western front. School must be taking a toll on you.

How is church ball going for you?

How have you been?

I hope to see some updates soon!
How is church ball going for you?

My team is struggling. In fact, the four games I have been to we have lost by over 15 points each game. It is getting rediculous...

How is school for you?
