BEARS DEFEAT COUGARS IN AN EPIC GAME

Cougars 12 11 11 15 49
Bears--- 14 16 13 12 55
.
Yo Yo Dalton and the Bears edge out a victory over Avery Gunderson and the Cougars in the highest combined score in DBA history. By the end of this epic battle, several records were almost beaten by either team. First of all, Yo Yo Dalton scored 32 points which was only 4 shy of Jerry Daines' record of 36. Dalton also made 6 three pointers which was only 1 shy of the record also held by Jerry Daines. The Bears also missed the record of the most points scored in a game at 56 which was ironically held by the Cougars. Devin Marks, for the Bears, tied his own record for the most assists in a game held at 12. The Bears missed the team assist record by only 1 which was shared by the Scorpions and Fire at 18 assists. The Cougars also missed out on a record of their own. As a team, they made 20 two-point field goals which was only 2 shy of the record held by the Bulls last season.
Even though many records were unattained, both these teams have proven that they are going to be dominant forces on the quest to the DBA Championship.

What a great game early in the season! I can't believe how good the Bear's offense looks after just two short weeks.

They obviously put in the necessary time to start this season off right!

I just left a note about them earlier today. They could be a force if they keep this up!

Tigers--- 6- 10 14 6- 36
Scorpions 10 11 6- 12 39

Scorpions rally in the 4th to acheive victory. The Scorpions almost lost the game because they shot 2 of 10 from the 3 point line. Maybe the Scorpions aren't as good as I thought they were.

Killer Whales 10 11 13 13 47
Bulls-------- 12 13 15 8- 48

How the heck do the Bulls go from scoring 25 in their first game to scoring 48 in their second. Did they start eating spinach or what? Killer Whales tied it up on their last possession from a Kent Nell 3 pointer, but Kip Dippleton hits 1 of 2 free throws at the end to seal the victory for the Bulls.

Sharks--- 11 10 8- 6- 35
Stallions 15 11 11 13 50

The former DBA Champions play like little girls at a beat down festival. They competed for 2 quarters and then they decided to twiddle their thumbs and chase invisible butterflies. Former All-Star, Colby Manterola, scored 25 points, got 1 assist, 1 steal and 1 rebound for the Stallions. How the heck did the Stallions go from scoring 27 points in their first game to scoring 50 in their second game? After the first week, I would have thought the Stallions and the Bulls would have been among the worst teams in the league. Now I have no idea what to think. I guess time will tell which of the two games was a fluke.

Another side note: The North and South divisions were tied after week 1 with a 4-4 record, but in week 2 the South division has won the first four games. They have actually won 6 games in a row, and from looking at the next few games, their streak could very likely continue.
Also, after analyzing the schedules, the Tigers look like they might have the most difficult schedule because they play the Cobras, Scorpions, and Bears as out of division games, which could possibly be the the South division's top 3 teams.

I couldn't help but bust up laughing at your awesome description of the Stallions victory over the Sharks... ha ha!!!

Crazy games! On paper, it is easy to see that one team should win, but that is why we play the game!

The South Division went on an 8-0 run before the Ice ended the streak. After 2 weeks the North Division has a 6-10 record and the South Division has a 10-6 record.

Knights 14 12 12 9- 5 52
Wolves- 12 12 12 11 7 54

Probably one of the most exciting games all year. The Wolves' Bryce Howard hit a 3 at the buzzer to send it to overtime. Then in overtime, Brad Bronn shot a 3 at the buzzer to win the game. Amazing performance by both teams. The Wolves had 3 guys in double digit scoring and Edward Lyles for the Knights had a carreer high of 32 points in the game.

Fire-- 13 10 13 12 48
Cobras 9- 13 13 15 50

The Fire shot a 3 late in the fourth to tie it, but the Cobras hit a jumpshot at the buzzer to win. This game was back and forth all game and both Bill Wyecliff(Fire) and Stephan Mills(Cobras) scored 23 points a piece. Phil Young(Fire) tied the record for the most assists in a game at 12 and the Fire tied their own record of 18 total assists in a game.

Ice-- 7 12 8- 12 39
Wasps 8 10 11 4- 33

The Ice put the defensive hammer down in the 4th to achieve victory and end the South Divisions 8 game winning streak. Jerry Daines finished the game with 20 points, 3 steals, and 2 assists.

Dragons 15 9 7- 10 41
Vipers- 6- 6 10 8- 30

The Dragons thrash the Dragons from the first possession and never looked back. Craig Jessops scored 16 points off of free throws which destroys the current record for the most free throws made by a player in a game by 6. The Dragon's 19 free throws gains the team record as well.

Cougars-- 10 10 10 12 42
Stallions 10 10 11 8- 39

It was back and forth all game, but the Cougars edged the Stallions out in the end. Avery Gunderson had 22 points for the Cougars and Colby Manterola had 20 points for the Stallions

Tigers 16 12 8 10 46
Bears- 12 11 5 10 38

The Tigers pull off an amazing upset over possibly the best team in the league. Peter Phillips finished the game with 22 points and 6 rebounds for the Tigers.

Killer Whales 16 8- 7- 12 43
Vipers------- 6- 11 12 12 41

The Killer Whales blew an 11 point lead in the second quarter and almost lost to a valiant Vipers team. Sam Macdonald had 22 points for the Vipers and almost led the team to an amazing comeback win. Andrew Bogart for the Killer Whales finished the game with 25 points, 5 rebounds, and 1 block.

Sharks--- 5 11 7- 17 40
Scorpions 7 8- 11 12 38

The reigning champions score 17 points in the 4th to edge out a win over a great Scorpions team.
Patrick Thurman hit three 3 pointers in the 4th in order to attain victory. Clark for the Scorpions finished the game with 18 points and 2 rebounds.

After an 8 game winning streak by the South Division, the North has battled back by winning 6 games in a row. With only 4 games left in the Out-of-division schedule, the North and South divisions are tied with 10-10 records.
Another game to look for is the Ice vs. the Cobras because they are the final two teams in the league who haven't lost. It should be a great game with a lot on the line.

I decided to show the player's names, positions, and points per game on the right hand side of the blog. Hopefully this will make it so the players that don't always put up the big numbers can still get some recognition.
